If you have a business idea based mostly on your scientific research results or development work created at the University of Gdańsk – present it to us.

The next day after patent submission at the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland the results of the scientific research or development work are legally protected and they are safe to be published officially e.g. in a scientific magazine or presented at a conference.

3. UG patent attorney opinion
The UG patent attorney in cooperation with the TTO UG team performs a preliminary evaluation of the invention patentability. Once the project receives a positive feedback, an appropriate intellectual property rights protection protocol is implemented.

This stage of the project comes down to monitoring work, monitoring timely invoicing of tasks, completing documentation and obtaining revenue.
9. License / Sale of the intellectual property rights OR spin-off company
Depending on the undertaken commercialization process – intellectual property rights might be sold, license granted or a spin-off company created. A spin-off company is an entity affiliated with the UG TechTransBalt Ldt.
