About technology
One of the main challenges in the commercial use of biological plant protection products (biopesticides) is their preparation for application under field and industrial conditions. The most important ingredient in any product of this type is the active ingredient (in biological pest management, most often: a microorganism or microorganisms), but the active ingredient alone is often insufficient.
Commercially available biopreparations come in the form of :
-Granulate,
-Powder,
-Liquids.
The invention relates to biopreparations comprising a composition of microorganism(s) – as active substance and additives in bulk form with selected bacterial strains. The invention makes it possible to maintain the viability of the microorganisms, which are plant bioprotectants, during long-term storage.
The invention is applicable for the protection of plants against diseases especially bacterial diseases, e.g. caused by bacterial pectinolytic pathogens of the genera Pectobacterium and Dickeya.
