The subject of this proposal is a method for visualising dactyloscopic traces and simultaneously analysing DNA on thermal paper – an absorbent surface – which will facilitate individual identification by visualising fingerprints on thermal paper, whilst simultaneously analysing genetic material – DNA derived from the same evidence. The method according to the invention enables simultaneous molecular and genetic analysis through the integration of methods, the use of dyes and fluorescent probes, and DNA-specific markers to facilitate the visualisation of prints.
The invention also comprises a final solution for carrying out the method of the invention.
The invention finds application in forensic science, forensic medicine, the identification of victims of mass disasters, and in criminal investigations.
