The list of the World’s Top 2% Scientists, one of the most prestigious in the world, prepared by Stanford University in cooperation with Elsevier, includes as many as 21 researchers from the University of Gdansk among the 2% most cited scientists.
Among the researchers who stand out in the world are inventors whose discoveries are protected by Polish and international patents. The process of protecting intellectual property at the UG is coordinated by the UG Technology Transfer Centre.
Outstanding UG researchers are associated with the Faculties of Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Informatics (WMFiI), the International Centre for the Theory of Quantum Technologies (MCTTK/ICTQT) and Social Sciences.
